Day three and the last of our budget series! Today, I want to share tips on how I manage to do doTERRA as a college student.
•
Tip #1: Figure out what your purpose is.
Are you trying to build a business? Solve a specific issue? Enhance your general wellness? What are you using the oils for? Once you determine your reason for using, you can better organize what you purchase every month. •
Tip #2: Be organized about it.
You will waste money if you aren't purposeful about what you put on your order. If you're on a tight budget and you're running out of an oil or trying to figure one thing out, you need to know that so you can make sure you get everything you need. The key to being frugal is knowing exactly what you need to get and only getting exactly that. •
Tip #3: Save your points - and then make good use of them!
Is there a specific oil you just can't splurge on but really want to try? Save your points! It can be tempting to use them on small additions to your LRP but it's more efficient and money-saving in the long run because the more you purchase, the more points you get. Which means you can buy the pricier oils with your points and still get everything else you needed for that month!
•
Tip #4: Make it a priority.
When people ask me how I manage to buy my oils and live every month, my answer is always that the oils are simply a priority for me. I care more about my wellness than going out to eat or buying a new top. If it isn't a priority for you, you won't be able to buy your oils every month or have the ones you need. You'll spend the money on other things. Make it a priority and it gets easy to spend the money every month.

These are the four top ways I manage as a college student. I have barely any spending money. My LRP is over $100 every month. I still have the money for the things I need. I just have to be strategic about when I make my purchases. doTERRA on a budget is not impossible. It's hard. But simple to do if you really care about your wellness. •

L E M O N
This is my oil for digestion. Lemon is cleansing and purifying, plus it tastes and smells incredible 😍 I like to drink two or three drops in water, just to get the gunk from the day out. •
L I M E
Lime is a simple but uncommonly used oil in my arsenal. But it is my favorite below-$20 oil to use for pain and inflammation. I have a lot of that in my knees and Lime is a backup oil for me when I don't want to use up my more expensive oils. •
W I L D O R A N G E
This is for sleep! One of the top three issues people ask for help with is sleep. This one is the one that I recommend almost every time. My boyfriend loves this one - he sleeps like a log when he puts it on before bed 😄

G R A P E F R U I T
I use Grapefruit for acne. Melaleuca is the most popular one, but it dries out my skin too much and too fast. If your skin lacks moisture, I recommend trying out Grapefruit instead. It's a much gentler version of Melaleuca that works just as well 👍

M E L A L E U C A
Melaleuca is my backup oil for immunity. This is the one I go to when my On Guard is out and my order hasn't arrived yet 😭 Diffuse it and run it up and down your spine for a quick immunity boost.

R O S E M A R Y
Two words. Memory. Issues. I love to diffuse this oil at night with some Lavender to relax my mind and give my memory a little boost. Cause it falls apart when I am mentally exhausted. Which is my normal state during second semester 😆

E U C A L Y P T U S
This is the oil I use when I'm feeling congested. I actually prefer it over Breathe, because of the smell (which is GORGEOUS 😍) and because it clears my chest and lungs, not just my sinuses. •
P E P P E R M I N T
This one is a classic. You can use it for everything. But my favorite use for it is energy. I put a drop or two under my tongue in the morning or when I need it but WATCH OUT if you're new to this. Peppermint is very, very strong. .

I'm starting a mini series! 😄 For the next three days, we'll be talking all about oils on a budget. I've gotten a lot of questions about how I "do the oil thing" as a college student. It's hard to do the best thing for yourself on a budget. I get that. I really do #livingthatcollegelife✌ But I really want to show you that you can do the oil thing too. I want to help you get your wellness journey started and this series is designed to get the biggest obstacle out of the way. Ready to see how you can do doTERRA with little spending money? Today, we're talking about enrolling under a budget. Basic enrollment is $35. Which seems astronomical to someone who has to save up for shampoo 💁‍♀️ Whenever someone says to me "I don't have money to enroll, let alone buy the oils", I tell them to think about one thing at a time. doTERRA can be expensive, but there are ways to make it cheaper. We'll talk about those next time. Enrollment is the first step 👍Now, let's say you're a college student making $120 per paycheck (AKA me last year) and you want to enroll. BUT you have toiletries to buy and student loans and gas and trying to save and you also just really need a night in bed with a pizza. $35 is just too much. Not so, my friend. It can actually be saved up rather quickly. •
Step 1: set aside $5-10 every paycheck. There is no step 2 🤗DONE, kay, good night everybody ✌

You can obviously set aside more, if you're able to. But setting aside $10 every paycheck means you save up the $35 in 2 months. And $10 is an easy amount to save without affecting your other necessary purchases too much. •
A budget doesn't have to hinder your wellness. It just means you get to learn to be a little more intentional about where you spend your money. #committoyourself

This is probably the hardest part of my life right now. I'm almost exactly halfway through college. I am halfway toward the end of this semester. I'm tired. I'm mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausted #prayforme I mean, I'm trying really hard here.

I recently got a letter from my goddaughter and she told me that, when I wrote back, to include three things I'm thankful for. You know, at times like this, when I have two biology tests in one week and more than too much reading to do and sleep is hard to come by, it's a bit of a stretch to find something I'm thankful for. •
But then my boyfriend shows up and kisses me hello. My sister texts me and shares in my "hello I'm dying" attitude. A friend makes me laugh. And I think that maybe I can enjoy where I'm at right now. Besides, I have my oils. How hard can it be? 😄😄

Last BOGO, guys! This one is designed for stabilizing and calming those emotions when things are out of control: buy a Serenity and get a Balance for free! •
I use Serenity in my diffuser when I'm having a tough time getting into a really deep sleep. Sometimes, I'll mix it in my palm with Vetiver and spread it on my pillow. And then I smell it all the next day on my hair 🤗

Balance is one of those that I use very rarely. When I do use it, I put it in my diffuser. My favorite oil to mix it with is Litsea.. oh my gosh its heavenly 😍😍 and it's the best combo I've found for when my day is literally falling apart and I want to stab something 🤗

Day #4 of BOGOs! Today's BOGO includes two more of my most used oils, so that's fantastic 😆 On Guard and Slim and Sassy. It always seems like I'm running out of both of these. I instantly put this one in my cart. •
On Guard is our immunity blend. It's one that I always include when people ask me what oils they should buy first. Whenever I'm sick or can feel something coming, I'll throw this in the diffuser and inhale it all day 👍

Slim & Sassy is our metabolic blend. Now. This one. I am almost never without it. I try to always have a backup because I use it so, so much. If you've seen any of my stories or posts about it, you know that I am in the process of losing weight.. it's really hard. Not gonna lie. But my goal to be done by this December 🤞 I use Slim and Sassy to support my metabolism. I just take a few drops in water between meals or a drop under my tongue. I also like to use it topically on my problem areas to target the fat more directly. •
